Sam Fisher (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) impartirá la conferencia 

"Σ-invariants of coherent groups"

Abstract: The Σ-invariants of a group G are a sequence of sunsets of the first real cohomology of G, which control the finiteness properties of co-Abelian subgroups. In this talk, we will discuss the structure of the Σ-invariants of a coherent group, and draw a relationship between them and the L²-invariants in the case G is virtually special (in the sense of Wise). This is based on joint work with Pablo Sánchez Peralta.
